THROUGH THE AGES

Private

We will introduce you to the most interesting monuments, history, and charming corners of the northern part of the island. Along the way, we will also visit the artisan village of Lefkara.

Our journey will begin in the city of Kyrenia, with its picturesque harbor and ancient fortress, which houses a fascinating museum. One of the unique exhibits on display is the Kyrenian sunken ship.

Next, we will visit St. Hilarion Castle, built in the 10th century. Originally founded as a monastery and church by the monks of Justians, it was later used as a summer residence by Cypriot kings. Known as the "Castle of a Thousand Dreams," it was also the site of knightly tournaments during the Middle Ages. The castle’s stunning location and historical significance make it a key highlight of the tour.

Finally, we will head southeast of Kyrenia to visit Bellapais Abbey, a magnificent example of medieval monastic architecture. This was the first Catholic monastery in Cyprus, built in the Gothic style by Augustinian monks.
